Former Ferrari boss secures new role at Aston Martin

Former Ferrari team boss Marco Mattiacci has been appointed to a new role with the Aston Martin company.

Mattiacci, who served as Team Principal for Scuderia Ferrari in 2014, has become Global Chief Brand and Commercial Officer for Aston Martin Lagonda, the parent company of the Aston Martin F1 team.

Mattiacci has a long career of working in senior positions, including overseeing Ferrari’s North America operations as their President and CEO. He served in the same role for Ferrari Asia Pacific, before being parachuted in to oversee the Ferrari F1 team after Stefano Domenicali’s departure in early 2014.

He left the role, and Ferrari, at the end of that season, with Maurizio Arrivabene assuming control of the Gestione Sportive in his place.
